Building Committee
The Church has been in need of refurbishment and redecoration for some time, and with the legal requirements for disabled access – both up into the Church and down into the Parish Centre – now needing to be contrived, it was thought to be a good moment in May 2006 to address all these projects. A Building Committee was formed and, with the
co-operation of the diocesan surveyor, an architect was selected.
It is a complicated project. The building works started April 2010.
This is a situation which will, of course, constantly change. The Building Committee issues progress reports to the congregation from time to time.
The 12-strong committee is made up of a mixture of parishioners with professional expertise in architecture and the building industry and those representing the ordinary parishioners such as young parents and the elderly.
