As you leave Mass this weekend, please take a donation leaflet for the Cardinal's Lenten Appeal, which contributes to three mission areas of the Church: Marriage and Family Life; Youth and Evangelisation; and Service in Society.
This year, the Cardinal has launched a new programme focusing on the food poverty affecting people in every part of the Diocese, much of it hidden. Funds will support food banks, schools, and other initiatives to relieve poverty, helping people back on their feet so they can live independently.
The Cardinal is also calling everyone to consider volunteering. For details, visit CardinalsLentenAppeal.org.uk.
Thank you for your generosity.
FHL Kensington would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of Our Lady of Victories St Patrick’s Night Party, which raised £2,240. Every penny of that money will go to supporting Christians in the Holy Land, especially in and around Bethlehem.
If you would like to help us with the work of FHL, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 07746847126.
A small temporary organ is now installed in the Church.
This week, our pipe organ will be dismantled and taken to the workshop of
Skrabl Organ Builders. Old pipes will be refurbished and new pipes created.
We hope our new organ will be back for Christmas.
The Parish has been able to claim £53,147.19 in tax refunds from HMRC, through the gift aid scheme in respect of the tax year 2017/18.
This has been made possible by parishioners kindly agreeing to gift aid their donations to the parish. Thank you.
If you are a UK taxpayer and have not already done so, please consider gift aiding your donations to the parish. At no additional cost to yourself, the parish will be able to claim a refund of 25p on every £1 donated.
Contact the parish office for more information.
If you wish to have someone remembered at Mass, intentions are available during
both the 7.30 am and 10 am Masses. The recommended stipend is £10.
If you have children who are transferring to Primary or Secondary School, and you need a Certificate of School Practice signed, please call the parish office for an appointment.
This weekend, you can return the brown Missio envelopes with contributions from your Red Box, or you can exchange your used Red Box for a new one.
If you are not already a member, do please take a Red Box; brown envelopes are available at the back of the Church. You can also drop off the money next weekend.
