Rosary Reflections from a parishioner
One of our parishioners recently took up praying the Rosary, here are some of his thoughts:
‘The first memory I have of the Rosary is my grandmother praying it, later on my mother. At the time I was honestly not really interested but still curious about it. And here we go, today I pray it too. The Rosary has entered my life for just a few months.
In my opinion I would like to point out that it is not a coffee machine, we push the button and the coffee we desire is instantly made for us. Actually, the beauty of it lies in the opposite. You might find new scenarios, different answers, etc…showing you there are other horizons to look at.
I find the mysteries of the life of Jesus Christ a mirror of what we go through in life at times, with due proportion. While praying I tend to imagine the scenes of the mysteries. I see the praying of the Rosary as a journey with the Holy Trinity. Furthermore, it brings a calm, reflective, peaceful attitude within me.
We all ask and want, it is in human nature, but I realise that taking what is given to us from the Highest is even better. It is a detachment from the concept of me, me, me, which is pushed on us especially in modern society.’

The Rosary is an incredibly powerful prayer. In this month of the Holy Rosary, please do consider praying even just a decade a day (1 Our Father, 10 Hail Marys and a Glory Be). You won’t regret it!
