Young Adults Group
The Parish Young Adults Group is a group for young people aged 18-35 years who are looking to meet other like minded young people, to find out more about their faith and how to live it in their lives. The group started in 2003 when a number of students, young professionals and “travellers-to-England” got together to read the scripture and talk about how they could live the Gospel message in their everyday life. The group also provided a good opportunity for those people new to London to find friends and a place to call “home”.
The group continues to meet on Sunday evenings at 7.30pm (after the evening Mass).
During the meetings, we may do a number of things: faith-sharing, Lectio Divina, Taize prayer, reflections/meditations or even just coming together for a shared meal to get to know each other. Of course, no meeting would be complete without ending it in the local pub.
The group also goes on retreats at different times throughout the year and we also went to Spain for World Youth Day in 2011.
Many, many people have passed through the group over the last three years. One of the strengths of the group is its international flavour.
At any one point in time the group can easily resemble the United Nations! From France to Mexico, Spain to Philippines and Hungary to Egypt ….everyone finds a space here and a place to call home!
When: Every Sunday, 7.30pm, after evening mass
Where: Parish Hall (or just meet at the front of the church by the Altar after the mass).
