Living Flame Youth Group

Living Flame Youth Group

The youth are the future of the Church. During the Youth Synod, Pope Francis has
underlined how the young people have a special task which is the one of becoming protagonist of their own future and contributing in the renewing of the Church.

Indeed, he reminded how ''The Lord makes history go on with young people.'' Then, he exhorted them because they have they courage to tell the truth.

Taking on board the appeal of the pope, and showing and eye of regard for the future generations in our parish community, we
are glad to promote in partnership with Our Lady of Mount Carmel, in Kensington Church Street, a youth prayer group.

We do so, aware of the constant need  of the youth to be trained and formed in their faith as active member of our parish community.

Why someone should join it?

This is a space where the young adult member of our community (18 years old and above), can meet up in a safe environment, deepen up their faith in prayer and discern God's calling. Are you interested in developing your spiritual life?
We would like to welcome you to the Living Flame Group for young adults and offer you support and guidance. In this online group the wisdom of the Carmelite saints and Doctors of the Church will inform our conversations and help us explore topical issues of interest to young adults.

Members aim to get to know each other.  They wish to support each other’s joys and sorrows and so contribute in the building up of the Christian Community.  The group offers opportunity to share and deepen the faith and discern the calling of God in the midst of the noise of our current society. It focus on spirituality, prayer, faith formation, recreation together, etc. Pilgrimages, picnics and other form of encounter and interaction are also organised.
Underneath, you can find an outlined programme with all the actives that will take place from the beginning of next month till the end of the year.
Come and join our vibrant community!

Some members of the goup meet together every Monday evening at 9.30pm to pray the rosary online via Zoom. This is a beautiful way to both foster, strenghten and mantain a sense of community among them as some move away from London to follow new paths in life. Anyone who wishes to join in praying the rosary is welcome to do so by tuning up through the button below.
