Dear parishioners and friends,
Can you help? We are making preparations for the day when we will be able to enter our Churches again. In the first instance for individual prayer. In order to do this, we need your help. We will have to observe certain practices to ensure hygiene and social distancing. Everyone entering and leaving the Church will need to sanitise their hands with hand sanitiser, which will be available. Therefore, we must have persons who will act as stewards, to welcome and direct those who enter the Church. We also need parishioners who are willing to help clean parts of the Church at the end of each day. We will supply training and protective wear. You will work as part of a team. You will not be alone. We would need at least an hour of your time. I would be grateful if you could let me know what you could help with. Those parishioners in the shielded category cannot be consider for any of these roles. A. Member of cleaning team. B. Giving time to act as a steward in the Church. We will do all this in cooperation with the other Churches in our Deanery of Kensington & Chelsea. If we do not have enough volunteers, we will not be able to open the church as often as we would like. I appreciate that as parishioners return to work it may not be possible for many to give of their time in this way. Please pray about what you can do. Once we have some sense of how many people are able to help we can make our plans. Yours sincerely in Christ Monsignor Jim Curry
