Trinity Sunday

"When you are with everyone but me, you are with no one. When you are with no one but me, you are with everyone" (Rumi)

Trinity Sunday 2021

We begin and end every Mass with the names of the Father, Son and Spirit on our lips. God is a mystery to be lived, celebrated and loved. God is always with us. But we are not always with God. We are easily distracted, disconnected and forgetful of God. We all need to deliberately cultivate a sense of the presence of God in our lives. This is nourished through prayer. God is with us Father, Son and Holy spirit. And when we are with God we are also with one another. The principal entrance into the mystery of God is the person of Jesus.  To look at Jesus is to begin to understand the mystery. The Holy spirit opens our minds and hearts to the mystery. In our prayer we begin to open up to the mystery of Life.

Most High God, and Blessed Trinity
whose voice I hear in the winds
and whose breath gives life to the world, hear me.
I come to you as one of your many children.
I am small and weak; I need your strength and your wisdom.
Make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made,
and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may know
the things you have taught your children,
the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock.
Make me strong, so that I may not be superior to other people, but
able to fight my greatest enemy, which is myself.
Make me ever ready to come to you with straight eyes,
so that when life fades as the fading sunset,
my spirit may come to you without shame.
Amen
(St Columba and Fr Flor McCarthy SDB)

Parish News: Fr Daniel Herrero Pena.
